Plumber in Petrie Terrace

The advertised plumber call-out starts at $99 incl. GST for the initial attendance and inspection. This is not an all-inclusive repair price. For a defined job, the relevant service page may offer a different payment structure or a fixed installed price. Materials, additional labour, specialist diagnosis or work outside the booked scope can cost extra.

The $99 option covers the initial plumber call-out and inspection under the selected booking terms. JR can inspect the fault, discuss likely causes and explain the options. Any additional diagnostic testing, repair labour, replacement parts or materials are charged separately where required. Review the actual service inclusions at checkout rather than assuming a repair is completed for $99.

No. The separate $99 onsite quote visit is for assessing the site and providing pricing. It excludes fault-finding, testing, repairs, drain cameras, reports and labour. The $99 quote-visit fee is credited to approved quoted work over $1,000. For simple jobs, JR also offers a free online quote when supplied photos and details are sufficient.

Larger drainage repairs, concealed pipework, renovations and stormwater changes may need inspection or plans before a reliable quote can be given.

The live booking system shows available timeframes for your selected service and location. Priority attendance depends on current capacity and the service booked, so a displayed countdown or general availability banner does not guarantee every plumbing repair can be completed that day. Turn off the property water supply at the main stop tap if it is safe to do so, keep electricity away from wet areas and arrange a plumber. The $99 initial service call is not a fixed burst-pipe repair price: the total depends on whether the leak is exposed or concealed, pipe material, access, excavation and the amount of replacement pipe required.

JR’s blocked-drain page requires a $199 booking payment, which is credited in full against the approved job total. It is not a claim that every blocked drain can be cleared for $199. You can compare hand-tool clearing, jet rodding, CCTV camera survey and combined options, plus the selected booking timeframe, before confirming an estimated total. Additional approved balance is payable after the work.

Not automatically. The blocked-drain booking starts with the $199 credited payment, while the selected equipment and onsite work determine the estimated and final approved price. High-pressure jetting can be appropriate for grease, silt, roots and stubborn blockages; some restrictions are better handled with a hand tool or pipe repair.

CCTV is available as a selectable service under the blocked-drain booking process, including a camera survey only option. The page takes a $199 credited booking payment; the actual CCTV survey total depends on the selected service, booking timeframe, access and additional work. Pipe locating or a detailed report may require a separate scope.

Select CCTV camera survey →

A suitable CCTV camera can show internal pipe defects such as displaced joins, roots, cracks, collapsed sections and recurring restrictions. When compatible locating equipment can be used, a technician may trace the route or position of the fault before excavation. Confirm whether locating, footage or a written report is included in the quote.

Repeated blockages can result from accumulated waste, grease, tree roots, inadequate pipe grade or structural damage. Clearing a restriction may restore drainage without fixing its cause. JR can assess multiple affected fixtures and recommend CCTV investigation if a recurring fault suggests damaged sewer or stormwater pipework.

Book a drain investigation →

Yes. Depending on the inspection findings, work can involve excavating, cutting out a broken or root-damaged section, replacing pipework, correcting connections and testing the repaired line. A written quote is normally required because depth, length, access, surface reinstatement and pipe material change the price.

Request a sewer repair quote →

There is no responsible single price for underground sewer or stormwater repairs. A short accessible repair differs significantly from deep excavation beneath a driveway or structures. The quote should identify the inspection scope, excavation, pipe replacement, backfill, testing and what surface reinstatement is or is not included.

Quote underground drainage repairs →

Yes. Depending on legal discharge points, levels and site conditions, drainage upgrades may involve additional pits, surface grated drains, driveway channels, yard collection points, new stormwater runs, pipe upsizing or rerouting. Pricing is quoted by site and scope, not a fixed $99 or $199 drainage service.

Request a stormwater upgrade quote →

Possible solutions include grated channel drains, collection pits, changes to underground stormwater pipework and improved conveyance to an approved discharge point. The right approach requires checking where water comes from, levels, existing connections and whether the problem is local runoff or an upstream drainage issue. A quote follows the site assessment.

Not automatically. JR’s pre-purchase plumbing inspection starts at $299 incl. GST for the flexible 20-business-day option and includes a written plumbing report on accessible and testable items. Underground CCTV and concealed pipe checks are separate specialist investigations unless the booked scope specifically includes them.

Yes. These are separate plumbing installation services. Costs depend on existing isolation valves, accessible water and waste connections, appliance location and whether new pipework is needed. Choose the particular service page for its current selected options; a $99 general attendance does not automatically include an appliance installation.

Low flow may stem from partially closed isolation valves, blocked aerators or filters, failing pressure controls, undersized pipework or issues with the incoming supply. JR can investigate the affected fixtures and recommend the appropriate repair or pressure solution. Starting attendance is $99, while testing and repairs may cost extra.

Yes. Pressure-limiting valves can address excessive mains pressure; water hammer arrestors may help reduce shock when certain taps or solenoid valves close. Suitability depends on measured pressures and the plumbing arrangement. Select the relevant service to view available installation pricing and extras.

Avoid flames, electrical switching and ignition sources; move away from the affected area and contact the gas network or emergency services as appropriate. Shut off the gas supply only if safe. Do not wait for an ordinary online appointment where there is an active suspected leak. A licensed gasfitter can investigate once the area is made safe.

Yes. Whether repair makes sense depends on age, fault, parts, warranty, system type and any unsafe or leaking components. Booking or diagnosis does not promise repair is feasible. JR can help with electric, gas, heat pump and solar hot water issues and explain repair versus replacement.
