WFW Water Filter World Filtration Systems
Water Filter World, commonly shortened to WFW, offers filtration solutions
ranging from compact under-sink drinking-water systems and reverse osmosis
through to large Twin and Triple 20-inch whole-house filters, UV treatment,
AntiScale systems and 3-way kitchen mixers. JR Gas & Water supplies and
installs eligible WFW systems throughout Brisbane, the Gold Coast and
eligible South East Queensland service areas.
The right WFW system depends first on what you want to treat. A kitchen
drinking-water filter has a very different job from a whole-house filter
supplying every bathroom, tap and appliance, while rainwater, bore water
and microbiological concerns can require additional treatment such as UV.
JR's current WFW range includes whole-home Twin and Triple 20-inch systems,
enclosed filtration systems, UV and AntiScale upgrades, compact
reverse-osmosis systems, under-sink filters and 3-way kitchen mixer taps.
Whole Home
Twin and Triple 20-inch filtration for water entering the property.
Reverse Osmosis
Compact under-sink RO for higher-level drinking-water treatment.
UV & AntiScale
Additional treatment options for microbiological risk or scale control.

WFW Whole House Water Filters
Whole-house filtration treats water near the point where the main supply
enters the property. Instead of filtering only one kitchen outlet, the
filtered supply can then continue to bathrooms, showers, washing machines,
hot water systems and other household fixtures.
WFW's whole-house range uses large-format filter housings, including common
Twin and Triple 20-inch configurations. Larger housings provide greater
media capacity than compact under-sink cartridges and are designed for much
higher household flow rates.
Twin 20" Big Blue
Two-stage whole-home filtration commonly used to combine particulate
treatment with carbon filtration for chlorine, taste, odour and selected
organic contaminants.
From
Triple 20" Big Blue
Adds a third treatment stage, giving more flexibility where sediment,
carbon filtration and another specialist treatment stage are required.
From
Enclosed Whole Home
Places the filter housings inside a cleaner finished enclosure where the
customer wants the system protected and visually tidier than exposed
housings.
From
WFW Twin vs Triple Whole House Filter
WFW Twin
A practical starting point where the main priorities are sediment
filtration and carbon treatment for chlorine, taste and odour.
WFW Triple
Adds another filtration stage, allowing a specialist cartridge such as
AntiScale or another treatment media to be incorporated without losing
the primary sediment and carbon stages.
More stages are not automatically better.
The correct filter arrangement should respond to the actual water problem.
Adding an unnecessary stage increases cartridge cost and pressure drop
without necessarily improving the result.
WFW AntiScale Whole House Filtration
WFW offers whole-house systems that combine conventional filtration with
AntiScale treatment. These are aimed at properties where mineral scale on
plumbing fixtures, hot water equipment or appliances is a concern.
WFW also offers dedicated AntiScale treatment equipment for residential and
commercial applications. The manufacturer notes that pre-treatment is
important where incoming water contains excessive sediment, iron or
manganese.
Triple 20" Big Blue + AntiScale
Combines three large-format filtration stages with AntiScale treatment
in a visible housing configuration.
From
Triple 20" Enclosed + AntiScale
Similar whole-home treatment with the filter housings contained inside
a finished enclosure.
From
WFW Whole House Filters with UV
UV treatment has a different purpose from sediment or carbon filtration.
Where correctly selected and installed, ultraviolet treatment is used to
address microbiological risk in suitable water-treatment applications.
This is particularly relevant to rainwater, bore, tank and other supplies
where microbial contamination may need to be managed as part of a complete
treatment system.
UV works best when incoming water is sufficiently clear. Heavy sediment or
turbidity can interfere with UV treatment, which is why physical filtration
normally occurs before the UV stage.
Twin 20" + UV
Combines two whole-house filtration stages with ultraviolet treatment.
From
Triple 20" + AntiScale + UV
Multi-stage whole-house setup combining filtration, scale-management
treatment and UV in one broader system.
From
Enclosed + AntiScale + UV
Premium enclosed WFW configuration combining whole-home filtration,
AntiScale and UV treatment.
From
WFW Under-Sink Drinking Water Filters
Under-sink filtration is the simpler option where the main goal is better
drinking and cooking water rather than filtering the entire property.
WFW offers compact single and twin systems that fit inside the kitchen
cabinetry and supply a dedicated filtered outlet or compatible 3-way mixer.
WFW Single Economy Under-Sink
Entry-level point-of-use filtration for households primarily wanting
improved drinking-water taste and basic filtration.
From
WFW Compact Twin
Two-stage under-sink filtration giving more media flexibility than a
single-cartridge system while retaining a compact kitchen installation.
From
WFW Reverse Osmosis Water Filters
Reverse osmosis uses a membrane rather than relying only on conventional
sediment or carbon filtration. Water is forced through the RO membrane,
separating the treated drinking water from a concentrated waste stream.
JR currently carries a compact WFW reverse-osmosis system designed for
under-sink drinking-water applications.
RO is most relevant where the customer wants a more comprehensive
dissolved-contaminant treatment process than a conventional carbon filter.
It also creates reject water and requires more components than a simple
inline filter.

from
.
WFW Reverse Osmosis vs Standard Under-Sink Filter
Standard Cartridge Filtration
Typically simpler, faster-flowing and easier to maintain. Commonly used
for sediment, chlorine, taste and odour reduction depending on the
installed cartridge.
Reverse Osmosis
Adds a membrane treatment stage for a broader range of dissolved
substances but uses more equipment and creates a reject-water stream.
WFW 3-Way Kitchen Mixer Taps
A 3-way mixer combines normal hot, normal cold and filtered drinking water
through one kitchen tap body while keeping the filtered-water pathway
separate from the normal mixed-water supply.
This removes the need for a separate small filter tap beside the kitchen
mixer and can create a cleaner benchtop finish.
JR's current WFW range includes high-loop, high-rise and pull-out styles
across finishes including stainless, black, brushed nickel and gold,
subject to current availability.

What Can a WFW Water Filter Reduce?
The answer depends entirely on the cartridges and treatment technology in
the selected WFW system. There is no single contaminant-removal list that
applies to every WFW product.
JR's current WFW product data includes systems aimed at sediment and visible
particles, chlorine taste and odour, selected organic chemicals, scale
management and other specific water-quality concerns.
Reverse osmosis, UV and AntiScale treatment all perform different jobs, so
those technologies should not be treated as interchangeable.
Match the filter to the problem.
Sediment, chlorine, dissolved minerals and microorganisms require different
treatment methods. The best system is the one built around the actual water
source and concern rather than simply the greatest number of filter stages.
Town Water vs Rainwater, Tank & Bore Filtration
Brisbane and Gold Coast mains water treatment requirements are usually very
different from untreated rainwater, tank, bore, river or dam supplies.
On normal town water, filtration may focus on sediment, chlorine, taste,
odour or scale concerns. Alternative water sources can require water
testing and additional treatment for sediment, minerals or microbiological
contamination.
Water Filter World's broader product range includes specialist solutions
for bore, tank, river and dam water, but the treatment system should be
selected after understanding the actual water-quality problem.
Will a Whole House Water Filter Reduce Pressure?
Every filter creates some resistance to water flow. The practical impact
depends on the filter housing, cartridge media, pipe size, household demand
and how blocked the cartridges have become.
Large 20-inch whole-house housings are used because they provide far greater
filtration area and flow capacity than compact under-sink cartridges.
Correct pipe sizing and system selection are especially important on larger
homes or properties with several bathrooms operating at once.
WFW Replacement Filters & Service Kits
Filter cartridges are consumable components. Sediment, carbon and specialty
media gradually load with contaminants and eventually need replacement.
Water Filter World also sells replacement cartridge sets, RO membranes and
service kits for its filtration systems. Some AntiScale replacement media
is listed by WFW with typical life around 6–12 months depending on incoming
water quality.
The correct replacement schedule depends on the installed filter,
household usage and water conditions rather than one fixed interval for
every WFW system.
Who Is Water Filter World?
Water Filter World is a Brisbane-based family water-filtration business.
The business states that it formally launched in 1999 after the family had
already been working in filtration since the mid-1990s.

Choose Under-Sink If…
Your main goal is filtered drinking and cooking water from the kitchen
and you do not need to treat showers, bathrooms or appliances.
Choose Whole Home If…
You want filtration before the water distributes throughout the house
and want bathrooms, showers and appliances included.
Choose RO If…
You specifically want membrane-based drinking-water treatment rather
than standard sediment and carbon filtration.
Add UV If…
The water source has a microbiological-treatment requirement and the
full system is designed appropriately for UV treatment.
Add AntiScale If…
Scale accumulation is one of the specific water-quality problems you
want the treatment system to address.
Add a 3-Way Mixer If…
You want the filtered outlet incorporated into the main kitchen tap
rather than installing a second dedicated filter faucet.
WFW Water Filter Installation Brisbane & Gold Coast
JR Gas & Water supplies and installs eligible WFW water filtration systems
throughout Brisbane, the Gold Coast and eligible South East Queensland
service areas.
Installation requirements vary by product. Under-sink systems need suitable
kitchen cabinetry and plumbing, whole-home systems need an appropriate water
main location and service access, and UV systems require suitable power and
installation conditions.
Whole-house projects should also consider pipe size, pressure, flow rate,
bypass requirements, filter-change access and where water can be safely
isolated for future servicing.

What is WFW Water Filter World?
WFW is short for Water Filter World, a Brisbane-based family water
filtration business offering drinking-water, whole-house, reverse
osmosis, UV, scale-management and specialist filtration products.
How long has Water Filter World been operating?
Water Filter World states that it formally launched in 1999 after the
family had already been involved in water filtration since the
mid-1990s.
What is a WFW Big Blue whole house filter?
Big Blue refers to large-format whole-house filter housings designed
for substantially higher water flow and cartridge capacity than a
compact under-sink drinking-water filter.
Is a Twin or Triple WFW whole house system better?
Neither is automatically better. Twin systems provide two filtration
stages, while Triple systems add another treatment stage. The right
arrangement depends on the actual contaminants or water-quality
concerns being treated.
What does a WFW whole house filter remove?
It depends on the installed cartridges. Current WFW systems can be
configured for concerns such as sediment, chlorine, taste, odour,
selected organic chemicals and scale management. No single removal
claim applies to every WFW system.
Does WFW make reverse osmosis filters?
Yes. Reverse osmosis is one of Water Filter World's major product
categories, including compact under-sink drinking-water systems and
larger specialist RO equipment.
Is reverse osmosis better than a normal carbon filter?
It performs a different job. Carbon filtration is commonly used for
chlorine, taste, odour and selected organic contaminants, while RO
adds membrane treatment for a broader range of dissolved substances.
RO also requires more equipment and produces reject water.
Does WFW make filters with UV?
Yes. WFW offers whole-house filtration configurations with UV
treatment, including Twin and Triple 20-inch systems. UV is typically
used where microbiological treatment is part of the water-treatment
requirement.
Do I need UV on Brisbane mains water?
UV should be chosen because the water source and treatment objective
require it, not simply because another filtration stage sounds better.
It is more commonly relevant to untreated or alternative water
sources such as rainwater or tank water.
What does WFW AntiScale do?
WFW AntiScale products are intended to manage mineral scale formation
in plumbing and equipment. They perform a different function from
sediment filters, carbon filters and UV treatment.
Is WFW AntiScale a water softener?
AntiScale treatment should not automatically be described as the same
process as a conventional ion-exchange water softener. The
technologies manage hardness and scale differently.
What is a WFW 3-way kitchen mixer?
A 3-way mixer supplies standard hot, standard cold and filtered
drinking water through one kitchen tap while keeping the filtered
water internally separated from the normal mixed-water pathway.
Can I use a 3-way mixer with an under-sink filter?
Yes, where the filter and mixer are compatible. It is a popular way
to avoid installing a separate dedicated drinking-water faucet beside
the main kitchen mixer.
Will a WFW whole house filter reduce my water pressure?
All filtration creates some flow resistance. A correctly sized
whole-house system should be selected around the home's pipework,
pressure and peak flow requirements, and cartridges need replacing
before excessive blockage develops.
How often do WFW filters need changing?
Replacement frequency depends on the cartridge, amount of water used
and incoming water quality. Some WFW replacement media is listed with
typical life around 6–12 months, but the exact schedule should follow
the installed system and water conditions.
Can WFW filters be used on rainwater or tank water?
Yes, Water Filter World offers equipment for alternative water
sources, but rainwater and tank-water systems should be designed
around the source and water-quality risks. Sediment filtration and UV
treatment are commonly considered where appropriate.
Does WFW make bore and dam water filters?
Yes. Water Filter World's broader range includes bore, river, dam and
other specialist filtration equipment. Water testing is particularly
important with these sources because treatment requirements can vary
substantially.
Can JR install WFW water filters in Brisbane?
Yes. JR Gas & Water supplies and installs eligible WFW under-sink,
whole-house, reverse-osmosis, UV and AntiScale filtration systems
throughout its Brisbane service area.
Can JR install WFW water filters on the Gold Coast?
Yes. Eligible WFW filtration systems can be supplied and installed
throughout JR Gas & Water's Gold Coast service area.
Can I get a quote before choosing a WFW filtration system?
Yes. If you are unsure about whole-house versus under-sink, Twin
versus Triple, UV, AntiScale, RO, pressure or installation location,
you can
request an onsite or written quote
before choosing the final system.
Choose Your WFW Water Filtration System
Start with what you actually want to improve: kitchen drinking water,
chlorine and sediment throughout the home, scale, reverse-osmosis treatment
or an alternative water source requiring additional treatment. Then match
the WFW system to the required flow rate, available installation space and
ongoing cartridge requirements.
