Washing Machine Installation β Brisbane & Gold Coast
Need a washing machine installed? JR Gas & Water provides professional washing machine installation across Brisbane and the Gold Coast for front-load washing machines, top-load washing machines and combination washer-dryers.
Our standard installation is suitable for both new washing machine installations and replacement appliances. There is no separate installation product simply because an old washing machine was previously installed.
Our licensed plumber will position the appliance, connect the manufacturer's water and waste hoses to the available laundry connections, level the machine and test the installation for correct filling, draining and leaks.

Installation of standard front-loading washing machines in an existing suitable laundry appliance position.

New Washing Machine or Replacement?
The standard installation service is the same for both.
If you are replacing an existing washing machine, we will disconnect the existing appliance and connect the new machine.
If this is a new washing machine installation, suitable water, waste and electrical services need to be available at the laundry installation position.
There is no need to select a separate βreplacementβ or βnew installationβ product.
Water Connections
Standard installation includes connecting the washing machine to suitable existing laundry water connections.
Depending on the appliance, this may include:
-
Cold-water connection
-
Hot and cold-water connections
-
Manufacturer-supplied inlet hoses
-
Connection to existing washing-machine taps
Many modern washing machines use a cold-water connection only. The appliance will be connected in accordance with the manufacturerβs normal installation requirements and the services available at the property.
Existing laundry taps and plumbing must be accessible, serviceable and suitable for connection.
Waste Connection
Standard installation includes connecting the manufacturer-supplied washing-machine waste hose to a suitable existing laundry waste point.
This may include a suitable:
-
Laundry tub waste connection
-
Washing-machine standpipe
-
Existing dedicated washing-machine waste connection
The existing waste plumbing must be accessible, serviceable and suitable for the appliance.
Blocked, leaking, damaged or unsuitable drainage may require additional plumbing work.

If you are replacing an existing washing machine, normal disconnection is included.
This includes disconnecting:
Offsite disposal of the old washing machine is not included unless specifically stated or selected with your order.

Faulty, seized, leaking or unsuitable existing taps may require replacement or repair as additional plumbing work.
Does installation include electrical work?
No. A suitable existing electrical supply must already be available.
Can you install a washing machine as part of a laundry renovation?

One thing I have not included here is creating a brand-new basic water/waste point under the laundry tub as standard, because you haven't said whether you want that bundled like the dishwasher product. If you want the same rule, I'd add it β and then this becomes an even cleaner fixed-price product.
