Zip HydroTap Boiling, Chilled & Sparkling Water Systems
Zip HydroTap systems provide filtered boiling, chilled and sparkling
drinking water from a compact under-bench command centre and benchtop tap.
JR Gas & Water supplies and installs eligible Zip HydroTap systems across
Brisbane, the Gold Coast and eligible South East Queensland service areas.
Zip's G5 HydroTap range allows the system to be configured around the
water the household or workplace actually uses. Options include boiling
only, boiling and chilled, boiling and ambient, chilled and sparkling, or
the full boiling, chilled and sparkling combination.
Zip Celsius and Celsius Plus All-In-One systems take the concept further
by combining filtered drinking-water functions with normal kitchen hot and
cold mixer water through a single tap. This can remove the need for a
separate kitchen mixer and dedicated HydroTap.

A Zip font kit, filter cartridge or CO₂ cylinder can cost far less than a
complete system. The live pricing above automatically removes those items
before calculating the advertised HydroTap price range.
What Is a Zip HydroTap?
Zip HydroTap is an under-bench filtered drinking-water system. A command
centre installed inside the cabinetry filters and, depending on the model,
heats, chills or carbonates the water before it reaches the HydroTap above
the bench.
This allows the kitchen to replace several separate appliances with one
installed system: a kettle for boiling water, chilled-water filter jug,
countertop carbonator and dedicated filtered-water tap.
HydroTap does not replace the home's main hot water system serving showers,
baths and bathrooms. It is primarily a kitchen, drinking-water and workplace
appliance.
HydroTap water codes are simple once you know them.
B means boiling, C means chilled, S means sparkling and A means ambient.
This makes BCS boiling + chilled + sparkling, BC boiling + chilled and CS
chilled + sparkling.
Zip HydroTap BCS: Boiling, Chilled & Sparkling
BCS is the full three-function HydroTap configuration. It provides filtered
boiling water for tea, coffee and cooking, chilled water for drinking and
sparkling water without needing a separate countertop carbonator.
Current residential G5 BCS systems use an under-bench command centre with
filtration, chilling, boiling and carbonation equipment. Current systems
checked use 0.2-micron filtration and include configurable operating and
energy-management settings.
BCS Classic Plus
The familiar Zip HydroTap format with intuitive touch controls,
filtered boiling, chilled and sparkling water and a wide range of
finishes.
From
BCS Elite Plus
Premium minimalist HydroTap design providing the same core BCS water
combination with the Elite Plus tap style.
From
BCS Arc / Cube Plus
Designer HydroTap options for kitchens where tap architecture and
finish are important parts of the overall kitchen design.
From
Zip Celsius & Celsius Plus All-In-One
Celsius is Zip's all-in-one kitchen approach. Instead of installing a normal
kitchen mixer beside a separate HydroTap, compatible Celsius systems combine
the kitchen mixer and filtered drinking-water functions into a single tap.
Celsius BCSHA All-In-One
Provides filtered boiling, chilled and sparkling water plus normal
unfiltered hot and cold washing-up water from one tap.
From
Celsius BCHA All-In-One
Provides filtered boiling and chilled drinking water plus normal hot and
cold mixer water, without the additional sparkling-water function.
From
Celsius can replace the normal kitchen mixer.
That can make it particularly useful in new kitchens where a single clean
tap layout is preferred over a conventional mixer plus separate HydroTap.
Zip Celsius Plus All-In-One Pull-Out
Selected Celsius Plus systems include a pull-out mixer function. This
combines premium filtered-water functionality with the flexibility normally
associated with a pull-out kitchen mixer for rinsing sinks, cookware and
food-preparation areas.
JR's current Zip collection includes Celsius Plus All-In-One Pull-Out
configurations in both BCSHA and BCHA water combinations, subject to live
availability.

Do I Need Every HydroTap Water Function?
No. The most expensive BCS system is unnecessary if the household does not
use sparkling water or chilled water.
Zip BC
Boiling and chilled filtered water. A strong option for households that
want instant hot drinks and refrigerated drinking water but do not need
sparkling.
From
Zip BA
Boiling and ambient filtered drinking water. Suitable where boiling
convenience matters but a chilled-water system is unnecessary.
From
Zip B
Dedicated filtered boiling water for tea, coffee and cooking. This is
the simplest HydroTap pathway where cold filtered functions are not
required.
From
Zip HydroTap CS: Chilled & Sparkling Water
CS provides filtered chilled still water and sparkling water without the
boiling function. It suits households, offices and entertaining areas where
cold drinking water is the priority.
Current Zip G5 CS products are available across design families including
Classic Plus, Elite Plus, Arc Plus and Cube Plus.

Zip Classic Plus, Elite Plus, Arc Plus & Cube Plus
After choosing the water combination, the next decision is tap style. Zip
offers several G5 designs so the HydroTap can be matched to the kitchen or
workplace rather than every installation looking the same.
Classic Plus
The most recognisable HydroTap design, using an intuitive touch-pad and
strong functional focus.
Elite Plus
More minimalist premium design intended for modern kitchens and clean
architectural finishes.
Arc Plus
Curved design-range tap for kitchens where the HydroTap itself is part
of the visual specification.
Cube Plus
More angular design option that can complement square mixers, sinks and
modern cabinetry.
Zip HydroTap Filtration
Current residential HydroTap systems checked use 0.2-micron filtration.
The filter sits within the installed system so the selected HydroTap
drinking-water functions receive filtered water before dispensing.
Filtration performance changes as cartridges accumulate contaminants, so
HydroTap ownership includes ongoing filter replacement rather than treating
filtration as permanent.
Genuine Zip replacement filters are consumables and should not be confused
with the complete HydroTap appliance when comparing purchase prices.
How Does Zip HydroTap Sparkling Water Work?
BCS and CS HydroTap systems carbonate chilled filtered water using food-grade
CO₂. The command centre chills the water before carbonation so sparkling
water can be dispensed directly from the HydroTap.
CO₂ is a consumable. Cylinder life depends on the quantity of sparkling
water used and the specific system configuration.
Current residential BCS systems checked by JR's research use replaceable CO₂
cylinders supplied as part of the sparkling-water configuration.
Zip HydroTap Boiling Water Safety
Current G5 boiling-water systems include configurable boiling-water safety
controls. This is particularly relevant in family homes, workplaces and
other areas where accidental operation needs to be considered.
Boiling water should still be treated as boiling water. Safety controls
reduce accidental dispensing risk but do not remove the need for sensible
use around children and vulnerable users.
Zip HydroTap Energy-Saving Modes
Current G5 command centres include programmable energy-management features
such as operating timers and sleep modes, depending on the selected tap and
configuration.
This allows the appliance to reduce unnecessary operation during periods
when the home or workplace is normally unused rather than maintaining the
same operating pattern around the clock.
Some Classic Plus configurations also support sensor-based sleep behaviour
when the surrounding area is dark.
What Does a Zip HydroTap Installation Require?
A HydroTap installation needs more than a hole for the tap. The under-bench
command centre must have suitable cabinetry space, water supply, electrical
power and ventilation.
Sparkling systems also need space for the CO₂ equipment, while Celsius
All-In-One systems require the normal kitchen hot and cold water supplies as
well as the filtered-water system.
The exact requirements vary by model, so new kitchens should ideally allow
for the command centre and services during the cabinetry and electrical
planning stages.
Check the cupboard before choosing the tap.
The visible HydroTap is only part of the product. The command centre,
filtration, ventilation and any CO₂ cylinder must also fit correctly under
the bench.
What Is a Zip HydroTap Font Kit?
A Zip font is a small drip-tray style platform used where the HydroTap is
installed away from a sink or where a dedicated dispensing area is
preferred.
Raised font kits can be useful on kitchen islands, office counters and
dedicated drinking-water stations.
A font kit is an accessory, not a complete HydroTap system. JR's live price
calculations therefore deliberately exclude font kits from the advertised
HydroTap starting price.
Zip HydroTap for Home vs Office
Residential and commercial HydroTap requirements can differ substantially.
A household may only have a few people using the system, while an office or
showroom can have many users drawing boiling or chilled water within a
short period.
Commercial HydroTap systems are available in larger capacities measured
around expected user numbers and cups per hour. Choosing a system solely by
tap appearance can therefore leave a busy workplace with insufficient
recovery.
For business applications, peak demand should be considered before
finalising the command centre capacity.
Zip HydroTap Filters, CO₂ & Maintenance
HydroTap ownership includes ongoing maintenance. Filter cartridges need
periodic replacement, sparkling systems consume CO₂ and the appliance
itself benefits from scheduled inspection and sanitisation.
Zip's HydroCare program is built around regular filter changes,
sanitisation and system maintenance, reflecting that premium filtered-water
appliances need ongoing service to maintain water quality and performance.
Replacement frequency depends on the selected HydroTap, usage and incoming
water conditions.
Zip HydroTap vs Other Boiling & Chilled Water Systems
Zip sits at the premium end of installed filtered-water systems and is
particularly strong where customers want a broad choice of tap designs,
water combinations and residential or commercial capacities.
When comparing Zip with Billi or another premium system, the useful
comparison is not simply the initial price. Consider the water combination,
under-bench dimensions, tap style, filter cost, CO₂ requirements,
servicing, energy-management features and local installation support.
The best system is the configuration that provides the water functions the
household actually uses without paying for unnecessary functions.
Zip HydroTap Installation Brisbane & Gold Coast
JR Gas & Water supplies and installs eligible Zip HydroTap systems
throughout Brisbane, the Gold Coast and eligible South East Queensland
service areas.
Installation suitability depends on under-bench space, water pressure,
electrical supply, cabinetry layout, tap position, ventilation and the
selected HydroTap command centre.
Existing kitchens can sometimes require cabinetry or service alterations,
while new kitchens can be designed around the HydroTap from the beginning.
Where the correct system or installation scope is unclear, JR can provide
an onsite or written quote before the final configuration is selected.

Choose Your Zip HydroTap
Start by deciding which water you actually want: boiling, chilled,
sparkling or ambient. Then choose between a standalone HydroTap and a
Celsius All-In-One, followed by the tap design and finish that best suits
the kitchen. If the cabinetry, electrical supply or installation scope is
unclear, JR can assess the project before the final HydroTap is selected.
