Dishwasher Installation โ Brisbane & Gold Coast
Need a dishwasher installed? JR Gas & Water provides professional dishwasher installation across Brisbane and the Gold Coast for freestanding, built-in and fully integrated dishwashers.
Our standard installation is suitable for both new dishwasher installations and replacement dishwashers. There is no separate price simply because a dishwasher has not previously been installed.
Where a dedicated dishwasher water or waste connection does not already exist, we can also create a basic water and waste connection beneath the kitchen sink as part of the standard installation, provided the dishwasher is located adjacent to or reasonably close to the sink and the existing plumbing is suitable and accessible.
JR Gas & Water can install customer-supplied dishwashers from most major appliance brands.
Suitable Dishwasher Types
Freestanding Dishwashers
Standard freestanding dishwashers designed to sit beneath a kitchen bench or within an existing dishwasher opening.
Installation includes positioning, plumbing connections, levelling and testing.
Built-In Dishwashers
Built-in dishwashers designed to be permanently installed within the kitchen cabinetry.
Installation includes positioning the appliance, connecting the water and waste services, levelling and testing.
Fully Integrated Dishwashers
Fully integrated dishwashers are installed within the kitchen cabinetry and generally use a matching cabinet door panel to conceal the appliance.

New Dishwasher or Replacement Dishwasher?
The standard installation is the same for both.
You do not need to already have a dishwasher installed.
If you are replacing an existing dishwasher, we can disconnect the old dishwasher and connect the new appliance.
If this is the first dishwasher in the kitchen, the standard installation can include a basic water and waste connection underneath the kitchen sink, provided the existing sink plumbing is suitable and the dishwasher is located close enough to use the standard appliance connections.
This avoids requiring a separate "new installation" product for most normal kitchens.
Basic New Water Connection Included
If there is no existing dishwasher water connection, standard installation includes creating a basic dishwasher connection beneath the kitchen sink where practical.
This generally means connecting into the accessible existing cold-water plumbing within the sink cabinet and providing a suitable connection for the dishwasher inlet hose.
The existing kitchen plumbing must be:
Significant pipework alterations or remote dishwasher locations are outside the standard installation scope.
Basic New Waste Connection Included
If there is no existing dishwasher waste connection, standard installation includes creating a basic waste connection beneath the kitchen sink where the existing sink waste is suitable.
This may include connecting the dishwasher waste hose to an appropriate under-sink dishwasher waste connection.
The existing waste plumbing must be accessible and in suitable condition.
Blocked, damaged, leaking or unsuitable existing drainage may require additional work.
Existing Dishwasher Disconnection
If you are replacing an existing dishwasher, disconnection of the old dishwasher is included as part of the installation.
This includes disconnecting the normal:
Disposal or offsite removal of the old dishwasher is not included unless specifically stated or selected with your order.
Standard Installation Requirements
The advertised standard installation assumes:

The dishwasher is installed within a suitable existing kitchen appliance space
-
The dishwasher is located beside or reasonably close to the kitchen sink
-
The kitchen sink cabinet is readily accessible
-
Existing kitchen water plumbing is serviceable and suitable for connection
-
Existing kitchen waste plumbing is serviceable and suitable for connection
-

-
The manufacturer's supplied waste hose can reach the required waste connection
-
Suitable electrical power is already available
-
The dishwasher physically fits the intended appliance opening
-
The appliance can be safely moved into the installation position
-
The dishwasher is onsite and ready for installation
-
No major cabinetry, building or structural alterations are required
Where existing services are defective, incompatible or require substantial modification, additional work may be required. JR's existing installation terms follow the same principle that existing plumbing and connection points need to be compliant and serviceable unless additional work is purchased.
