Service Call Booking
Pre-purchase your JR Gas & Water service call to secure licensed technician attendance for your plumbing, gas, hot water, leak, drainage, pump or water filtration issue.
This service call booking covers the minimum attendance and diagnostic charge for a qualified JR Gas & Water technician to attend site, inspect the issue and complete an initial assessment.
Where the issue is minor and can be safely resolved within the included time, our technician may be able to complete the work during the initial visit.

Minimum Attendance & Diagnostic Charge
This booking is for the minimum attendance and diagnostic charge only.
Any additional labour, parts, materials, repairs, replacement work, extended diagnostics, specialist equipment, compliance works or follow-up visits will be quoted or charged separately once the issue has been diagnosed.
Additional Diagnostic Time
If additional time is required to diagnose the issue beyond the included first 15 minutes, diagnostic time will be charged in 15-minute intervals at:
Additional diagnostic time may be required for faults that are hidden, intermittent, complex, unsafe to access immediately, located behind walls or fixtures, affected by site conditions, or requiring further testing before an accurate quote can be provided.
Once the issue has been diagnosed, JR Gas & Water will provide advice on the required repair, replacement or next steps.
Any additional work outside the minimum attendance and diagnostic charge will be quoted before proceeding wherever practical.
How Our Scheduling Works
JR Gas & Water offers priority scheduling based on the time your service call is booked and paid.
Guaranteed Same Day Service
Bookings made before 8:00am on a business day are eligible for guaranteed same day service, subject to the job being within our service area and suitable for standard technician attendance.
Same Day Subject To Availability
Bookings made between 8:00am and 12:00pm may still be completed the same business day.
This is subject to technician availability, location, workload and the nature of the issue.
Next Business Day Service
Bookings made after 12:00pm will generally be scheduled for the next business day, unless we have a suitable technician available sooner.
Flexible Scheduling Discounts
If your job is not urgent and you are happy for JR Gas & Water to schedule your appointment on a day and time that suits our technician availability, you may be eligible for a flexible booking discount.
Flexible Booking Options

Save $50 when you allow up to 5 business days for attendance

Save $100 when you allow up to 10 business days for attendance

Save $150 when you allow up to 20 business days for attendance
Flexible scheduling discounts are designed for non-urgent work only.
JR Gas & Water will allocate the appointment based on technician availability, location and scheduling efficiency.
By selecting a flexible booking option, you agree to be available for the appointment time provided or to arrange site access in advance.
Flexible booking discounts may not be suitable for urgent leaks, no hot water, gas safety concerns, blocked drains, loss of essential services or time-sensitive work.
Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
This service call booking is non-refundable if cancelled, rescheduled, declined onsite, refused access, unattended or no longer required within 2 business days of the booked appointment time.
If you cancel or reschedule more than 2 business days before your appointment, the amount paid will be held as store credit and can be used toward a future JR Gas & Water booking or approved service.
Business days exclude weekends and public holidays.
This policy helps cover technician scheduling, lost booking capacity, administration, travel planning and last-minute appointment cancellations.

The issue area is accessible where possible

Pets are secured before our technician arrives

Any known site hazards are disclosed before attendance

Approval is available onsite for additional quoted work if required
If our technician attends and cannot access the site, cannot access the issue, is turned away, or the booking is no longer required, the minimum attendance charge will still apply.
Important Information
This booking does not guarantee that the issue can be fully repaired during the first visit.
Some jobs may require further diagnostic time, additional labour, parts, specialist materials, supplier ordering, additional testing or a return visit.
JR Gas & Water will always aim to provide clear advice, practical options and upfront pricing before proceeding with additional work wherever practical.
This policy does not limit any non-excludable rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.
