Puretec F6 β Everton Park, April 2025
Our April 2025 job in Everton Park was to fit a Puretec F6 whole-home filter. The plan was to filter water for the house, not just at the kitchen sink. We completed the installation of the filter.
Your supply and treatment goal matter more than a suburb average. This guide narrows options; final suitability depends on the actual property and water testing.
There's a water sample in our records from Everton Park (2026, mains water). That's a different property, not a test of your Stafford Heights supply. We'd want to know where your water comes from and what you're trying to treat before using any readings to choose a filter.
For kitchen filtration in Stafford Heights, we'd look under the sink first. We'll check the mixer, cold-water connection and cupboard clearance, then make sure you can get the cartridges out when they're due for a change.
Measurements relate to the named properties and stages only. They do not establish an average or prove water is safe to drink.
Looking at water filtration for your Stafford Heights home? We install whole-home filters, kitchen drinking-water systems and reverse osmosis. See some of our recent work around Brisbane North, along with feedback from JR customers.
These numbers count installation jobs. Some homes had more than one filter fitted.
We've completed 8 water filter installations around Brisbane North. You can see some of our nearby work below.
Before choosing a system, we'll look at where your water comes from, the pipework, water pressure and how much flow your household needs. Rainwater and bore supplies can need extra testing and treatment, especially for drinking. See what customers say about JR.
Here's where we've worked and what each job involved.
Our April 2025 job in Everton Park was to fit a Puretec F6 whole-home filter. The plan was to filter water for the house, not just at the kitchen sink. We completed the installation of the filter.
In June 2026, we went to a Kelvin Grove property to install a customer-supplied filter. The customer supplied the filter, and our job was to install it. The same booking also included replacing two basin mixers and capping an old basin combination. We completed the installation of the filter.
JR Gas and Water recently installed a heat pump hot water system and whole house filtration system to our house.
Good service and good quality! Very recommend this company and service!
Extraordinary service, highly professional. Excellent communication and best best price, honestly. Highly recommended and we have already recommended them to our friend :)

Stafford Heights We serviced a Puretec F6 filter at a property in Stafford Heights, Brisbane North in November 2025. The visit was for the existing filter rather than a new installation. The visit was completed.

At a Stafford Heights home, we'd start with the water coming into the property and what you want treated. We can look at the main supply for a whole-home system, or the cold-water line under the kitchen sink if that's all you need.
In Stafford Heights, some of the property types include low-set and high-set family houses, renovated kitchens and older brick homes. Older pipework and renovations can change where the incoming line runs. We'd look at the actual supply and which taps you want treated before deciding where a filter should go.
Before we recommend anything for Stafford Heights, we'd ask what you want the filter to do. Sediment, taste and specific contaminants aren't all dealt with by the same cartridge, so the water source matters.

Want every tap filtered, not just the kitchen? We'd look for a suitable point on the incoming water line, check flow and pressure, and leave room for a bypass and cartridge changes. The best position at a Stafford Heights home depends on the actual pipework.
Only want to filter the kitchen tap? We can look at an under-sink system without treating every shower and laundry tap. We just need room for the filter, a suitable cold-water connection and space for servicing.
Reverse osmosis can be useful for a specific drinking-water concern, but it needs the right feed pressure, a drain for reject water and room for the membranes and filter changes. We would check those things under your sink before recommending a model.
If you're using rainwater, bore water or a mix of supplies, we'd want to understand the source and whether drinking-water testing is needed. A carbon cartridge on its own doesn't make untreated water safe. Depending on the results, sediment filtration, UV or another suitable treatment might be needed.
Here are some individual-property test results we have on file for comparison. None of these is a water test from your Stafford Heights address.
Everton Park (2026; mains water; filtration stage not specified) β pH 7.73; hardness 116 mg/L; TDS 273 mg/L; turbidity 0.02 NTU.
Grange (2026; mains water; filtration stage not specified) β pH 7.88; hardness 125 mg/L; TDS 306 mg/L; turbidity 0.02 NTU.
Spring Hill (2026; mains water; filtration stage not specified) β pH 7.87; hardness 123 mg/L; TDS 280 mg/L; turbidity 0.02 NTU.
The numbers belong to the properties and treatment stages named above. A post-filter result is treated water, not a reading from the raw supply. We'd test or check the water at your own Stafford Heights property before making a recommendation; these figures alone don't prove water is safe to drink.
Two homes in the same area can have different water. These results come from individual properties and might not reflect what comes out of your tap. We recommend testing your own supply before deciding on treatment.
There's no single filter we'd recommend to every house in the suburb. Whole-home filtration is an option when you want water treated at multiple taps. Under-sink filtration keeps the job to the kitchen, while reverse osmosis is worth discussing for a specific drinking-water need. We can check your actual supply before giving you a firm recommendation.
The best filter depends on where your water comes from. Here's what JR has recorded at some mains-water properties in Brisbane North, and what to look at if your home uses rainwater.
These figures come from 3 mains-water samples JR recorded in 2026. They show the median (middle) reading from those tests. The samples were taken before filtration or had no confirmed filtration stage. They don't represent every home in the area or establish that water is safe to drink.
Even across these three homes, hardness and dissolved solids were different. If you're getting scale on taps or in the kettle, a basic taste-and-odour or sediment filter won't necessarily fix it.
Across the tested properties, hardness ranged from 116 to 125 mg/L, dissolved solids from 273 to 306 mg/L, and turbidity from 0.02 to 0.02 NTU. These are readings from individual properties, not a test of the whole water network.
* Hardness figures use the units recorded in JR's test sheets; check the test method and units before comparing them with a filter specification. These aren't readings from the water supplier's monitoring program. A result of 0.02 NTU doesn't mean there's no turbidity. None of these figures describes rainwater, bore water or a private supply, and the four measurements can't tell you whether chlorine, PFAS, germs or other contaminants are present. They aren't a drinking-water safety test.
Tank water needs its own check. Roof and gutter condition, first-flush setup, animals, tank maintenance, how long the water sits and what you use it for can all make a difference. The mains-water readings above don't apply to rainwater tanks. Treatment needs to suit the water in your tank and how you plan to use it.
Check the roof and gutters, leaf screens, first-flush diverter, tank lid and overflow protection. Keeping dirt and animals out of the tank is just as important as the filter itself.
If you drink or cook with tank water, have the microbial risks assessed and arrange suitable testing. Depending on the property, you may also need to check sediment, acidity, metals, chemicals or an unusual colour or smell.
A sediment filter can help stop particles reaching taps and other equipment. Carbon or other filter media may help with particular problems, but a cartridge filter by itself isn't a substitute for disinfection.
If the water will be used for drinking, check whether a properly sized and maintained UV or another suitable disinfection system is needed. UV relies on clear enough water and a reliable power supply, and it won't remove dissolved chemicals.
Tell us whether you're using town water, rainwater or both, and what you'd like to improve. We can check flow, space and plumbing requirements to help you choose a suitable system.
Answers about water-filter suitability, installation work and water testing for properties in and around Stafford Heights.
It could go on the incoming water line if you want whole-home filtration, or under the kitchen sink if it's mainly for drinking water. We'd check the supply, valves, pressure and available space at your Stafford Heights property before choosing the spot.
Not in Stafford Heights itself, based on the completed jobs in our current records. We have 8 installations across Brisbane North, including Puretec F6 in Everton Park. We list that job under its real suburb rather than claiming it happened here.
No. The example we've shown was taken at a property in Everton Park in 2026, not at your Stafford Heights address. It's useful for context, but we'd check or test your own water before using any readings to choose treatment.
Any nearby water-test readings relate to the sampled property, not every home in the suburb. Filter selection and installation requirements should be confirmed for your actual water source and plumbing.
