PURETEC FINE SEDIMENT FILTER REPLACEMENT

Puretec PX01MP1 Replacement Brisbane & Gold Coast

JR Gas & Water supplies and fits genuine Puretec PX01MP1 replacement cartridges across eligible Brisbane and Gold Coast properties for compatible rainwater, whole-house and Puretec Hybrid filtration systems.

The PX01MP1 is a 1-micron, 4.5-inch × 10-inch MaxiPlus™ polyspun sediment cartridge manufactured from virgin polypropylene using graded-density depth-filtration construction.

It is designed to reduce dirt, rust, sand, silt, algae and other suspended particulate and is commonly used as the fine sediment stage in Puretec rainwater and UV pre-filtration systems.

Puretec PX01MP1 at a glance: this is a nominal 1-micron MaxiPlus™ 4.5" × 10" graded polypropylene sediment cartridge with a manufacturer-published individual flow rating of 75 L/min. It is used in systems including EM2-75, EM2-80, Hybrid R3, Hybrid R10 and Hybrid G12. It is a sediment cartridge rather than a carbon, UV or reverse-osmosis treatment stage.

What Is the Puretec PX01MP1?

The PX01MP1 is a fine sediment depth-filtration cartridge from Puretec's PX Series.

Puretec manufactures the media from virgin polypropylene that is spun and melted simultaneously. This process produces a coreless cartridge with graded-density construction, allowing particulate to be captured through the depth of the media rather than only on its external surface.

1-Micron Nominal Filtration

The PX01MP1 provides significantly finer sediment filtration than coarser 5-micron or 20-micron cartridges.

Graded Depth Construction

The polypropylene media is designed to load particulate through the cartridge depth for efficient sediment capture.

Large MaxiPlus™ Format

The cartridge uses Puretec's 4.5-inch × 10-inch MaxiPlus™ format rather than the narrower standard 2.5-inch cartridge format.

What Does the Puretec PX01MP1 Filter?

Dirt & Sediment

The PX01MP1 is designed for fine suspended-particle filtration.

Rust, Sand & Silt

Puretec specifically lists rust, sand and silt among the PX Series filtration targets.

Algae & Other Particulate

Puretec also lists algae and other suspended particles among the materials reduced by the cartridge.

The PX01MP1 is a sediment cartridge. It should not be marketed as a standalone chlorine, PFAS, fluoride, heavy-metal, bacteria, virus or dissolved-chemical treatment cartridge unless another documented treatment stage provides that function.

Why Use 1-Micron Sediment Filtration?

A 1-micron nominal sediment stage is used where finer suspended material needs to be reduced after any required coarse pre-filtration.

In compatible Puretec systems, the PX01MP1 commonly sits after a pleated sediment stage or before ultraviolet treatment. This helps reduce fine particulate and turbidity before the water reaches downstream equipment.

Fine filtration can create greater restriction as the cartridge loads. The correct system needs to balance micron rating, cartridge size, source-water condition and required household flow.

Which Puretec Systems Use the PX01MP1?

Puretec System PX01MP1 Role Other Main Service Components
EM2-75 Stage 2 fine sediment PL20MP1 Stage 1
EM2-80 Stage 2 fine sediment PL20MP1 Stage 1
Hybrid R3 Stage 2 fine sediment PL20MP1, RL6 UV lamp and RQS6 quartz sleeve
Hybrid R10 Stage 3 fine sediment PL05MP1, CB05MP1, RL6 and RQS6
Hybrid G12 Stage 3 fine sediment PL05MP1, CB05MP1, RL6 and RQS6
A PX01MP1 replacement is not always a complete system service. EM systems can require a companion sediment cartridge, while Hybrid systems also have UV lamps, quartz sleeves and additional filtration stages with their own maintenance requirements.

PX01MP1 in the Puretec EM2-75 & EM2-80

Puretec specifies the same cartridge pair for EM2-75 and EM2-80: PL20MP1 first, PX01MP1 second.

The PL20MP1 provides coarser washable sediment pre-filtration before water reaches the finer 1-micron PX01MP1 depth cartridge.

EM2-75

Puretec publishes a maximum complete-system flow rate of 75 L/min with a 1-inch BSP connection.

EM2-80

Puretec publishes a maximum complete-system flow rate of 80 L/min with a 1½-inch BSP connection.

JR also offers the complete EM2-80 service kit separately. Where both PL20MP1 and PX01MP1 are due, the complete paired service may be more appropriate than replacing only the PX01MP1.

PX01MP1 in Puretec Hybrid UV Systems

The PX01MP1 is used in several Puretec Hybrid systems to provide fine sediment filtration before ultraviolet treatment.

In the Hybrid R3 it follows PL20MP1. In the Hybrid R10 and Hybrid G12 it is the third cartridge after PL05MP1 and CB05MP1.

The PX01MP1 does not provide UV disinfection. In a Hybrid system, bacteria-reduction performance comes from the separate UV equipment. Replacing the sediment cartridge does not replace an ageing UV lamp or service the quartz sleeve.

Who Is the PX01MP1 Best For?

Existing Puretec Owners

Ideal where the installed system specifically calls for the PX01MP1 cartridge code.

Fine Sediment Filtration

Suited to applications requiring nominal 1-micron suspended-particle filtration within a compatible system.

UV Pre-Filtration Systems

Used by Puretec in selected rainwater systems where fine sediment filtration prepares the water for a downstream UV chamber.

What Happens During a Puretec PX01MP1 Replacement?

  • Confirm the exact installed Puretec system
  • Confirm PX01MP1 compatibility
  • Isolate the incoming water supply
  • Relieve pressure from the filter housing
  • Remove the existing cartridge
  • Inspect the accessible filter housing
  • Inspect the O-ring and sealing surfaces
  • Clean the accessible filter bowl where required
  • Install the genuine PX01MP1 correctly
  • Reassemble the housing
  • Restore pressure gradually
  • Check accessible connections for leakage
  • Flush the new cartridge as required
  • Check whether companion filters are also due
Existing faults remain separate from routine cartridge replacement. Damaged filter bowls, worn O-rings, leaking valves, pressure faults, pump problems, UV faults or unrelated plumbing defects can require additional parts or labour.

What's Included With JR PX01MP1 Replacement?

Genuine Puretec PX01MP1

The replacement is matched using the genuine Puretec cartridge code rather than a generic same-size substitute.

Fitted Cartridge Replacement

For a compatible and serviceable installation, JR can remove the old cartridge, fit the replacement, restore pressure, flush and check the serviced housing.

Additional Repairs if Required

Housing, O-ring, valve, pump, UV, pressure-control or connected plumbing faults may require separate parts or labour.

The live JR selector above is the pricing and package source of truth. Use the current product options for exact fitted pricing, booking availability and package inclusions.

How Much Does Puretec PX01MP1 Replacement Cost?

Current fitted pricing is shown in JR's live selector above. The live selector should remain the pricing source rather than embedding a fixed historical amount into the product description.

A standard replacement assumes the existing system is accessible, correctly identified and fundamentally serviceable.

Additional work may be required where filter housings, seals, isolation valves, pumps, UV equipment, pressure controls or related plumbing require repair.

BRISBANE SEDIMENT FILTER REPLACEMENT

Puretec PX01MP1 Replacement Brisbane

JR Gas & Water supplies and fits genuine Puretec PX01MP1 cartridges across eligible Brisbane properties with compatible rainwater, whole-house and Hybrid filtration systems.

Because the same PX01MP1 is used across different Puretec systems, identifying the host equipment matters before servicing. An EM2-80 has a different complete maintenance requirement from a Hybrid R10 or G12 with UV treatment.

Eligible JR servicing also extends through Logan, Ipswich, Moreton Bay and Redlands.

GOLD COAST SEDIMENT FILTER REPLACEMENT

Puretec PX01MP1 Replacement Gold Coast

JR Gas & Water also provides fitted PX01MP1 replacement across eligible Gold Coast properties with compatible Puretec filtration equipment.

Tank condition, sediment loading, rainfall, pump performance and household water use can all affect how quickly a fine 1-micron cartridge becomes loaded.

If system flow has reduced or servicing is overdue, the PX01MP1 and any companion filtration or UV components should be considered together.

How Often Does the Puretec PX01MP1 Need Servicing?

Puretec's WH/EM maintenance guide specifies cartridge replacement every 6–12 months for compatible EM systems, with approximately six-month replacement recommended where required to maintain higher filtered-water quality depending on water quality and usage.

Fine Sediment Loading

A 1-micron cartridge can accumulate fine particulate that passes through a coarser upstream stage.

Reduced Water Flow

Increasing sediment loading can create additional pressure drop and reduce system flow.

System Service History

Where PX01MP1 forms one stage of an EM or Hybrid system, the service age of the companion cartridges and UV components should also be checked.

Housing O-rings: Puretec's WH/EM guide recommends replacing housing O-rings approximately every 3–5 years to help maintain a watertight seal, or sooner if they are damaged.

Can the PX01MP1 Be Washed?

No. The PX01MP1 is a graded polyspun depth-filtration cartridge designed for replacement when its useful filtration life is reached.

It should not be confused with Puretec's washable PL-series pleated polyester cartridges, such as the PL20MP1 that sits ahead of it in the EM2-75 and EM2-80.
