Where a customer has a stone benchtop, it cannot be drilled for the installation of a separate filter tap. Drilling into engineered or natural stone surfaces can release fine crystalline silica dust, which poses a significant health risk (silicosis) to installers and anyone nearby, and may also cause cracking or damage to the bench. In these cases, we can provide the option of a 3-way mixer tap that combines hot, cold, and filtered water in one unit, or, if preferred, the filter can be connected to the existing kitchen mixer to filter all cold water — however, this is not recommended as it will also filter dishwashing and cooking water, leading to faster filter clogging and more frequent replacements. A wider selection of suitable 3-way mixer taps can be viewed here: https://www.jrgasandwater.com.au/collections/3-way-kitchen-mixer-tap-hot-cold-filtered.

PREMIUM GUNMETAL 3-WAY MIXER

Puretec ELITE-20GM Installation Brisbane & Gold Coast

JR Gas & Water supplies and installs the Puretec Tripla ELITE-20GM across eligible Brisbane, Gold Coast and surrounding South East Queensland service areas for kitchens wanting normal hot and cold water plus separately filtered drinking water from one premium gunmetal mixer.

The ELITE-20GM is a 3-in-1 kitchen mixer built from 100% stainless steel with a gunmetal PVD finish. The larger handle operates normal hot and cold water while the smaller handle controls a dedicated filtered mains-water or appropriately treated-water pathway.

Puretec uses two dedicated outlets and separate inner tubes so filtered and unfiltered water remain completely separate inside the mixer.

Puretec ELITE-20GM at a glance: model ELITE-20GM-LF, gunmetal 3-way mixer, 100% stainless steel construction, PVD finish, separate filtered and unfiltered waterways, 8L/min WELS 3 Star flow, 35mm tap hole, ½" and ¼" braided connections, 50–500kPa standalone tap pressure range, 35mm ceramic cartridge and 15-year residential tapware warranty structure.

IMPORTANT DISTINCTION

The ELITE-20GM Is the Mixer — Your Filter Treats the Water

The ELITE-20GM provides a dedicated pathway for filtered drinking water, but the mixer itself does not perform the filtration.

The filtration system installed beneath the sink determines the actual treatment performance, contaminant-reduction claims, cartridge capacity and maintenance schedule.

ELITE-20GM Mixer

Provides normal hot and cold mixer water plus a separate filtered-water pathway.

Under-Sink Filter

Performs the actual treatment before drinking water enters the dedicated filtered line.

One Kitchen Fixture

Allows hot, cold and filtered water to be accessed without adding a separate visible drinking-water tap.

Select the filtration system for the water treatment required and the mixer for the kitchen layout, functionality and finish you prefer.

HOW IT WORKS

Separate Hot, Cold & Filtered Water Pathways

Normal Hot & Cold

The larger mixer handle controls the home's normal hot and cold water supplies for everyday kitchen use.

Dedicated Filtered Water

The smaller handle independently controls water supplied through the compatible under-sink filtration system.

No Internal Mixing

Puretec specifies two dedicated outlets and separate inner tubes so the filtered supply does not mix with normal mains water inside the mixer.

Normal cold-water use does not need to consume the drinking-water cartridge. Washing and rinsing can continue through the ordinary mixer pathway.

TRIPLA ELITE CONSTRUCTION

100% Stainless Steel With PVD Gunmetal Finish

The Tripla Elite range differs from Puretec's standard Tripla T-series through its full stainless steel construction and premium finish specification.

100% Stainless Steel

Puretec specifies full stainless steel construction for the Tripla Elite mixer body.

PVD Coating

The gunmetal finish uses Physical Vapour Deposition technology intended to improve resistance to abrasion, scratching and corrosion.

Gunmetal Grey

The satin gunmetal appearance can suit kitchens using darker sinks, handles, appliances and contemporary hardware.

PVD improves finish durability but does not make the surface indestructible. Abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals and physical damage should still be avoided.

WHY CHOOSE A 3-WAY MIXER?

One Mixer Instead of a Main Tap Plus Filter Tap

Normal hot water remains available for standard kitchen use.
Normal cold water remains separate from the drinking-water filtration pathway.
Dedicated filtered water is selected independently using the smaller handle.
One principal kitchen fixture avoids a second visible drinking-water tap in suitable installations.
8L/min WELS 3 Star flow under Puretec's current Elite 20 specification.
35mm ceramic cartridge under the current manufacturer specification.

KITCHEN SUITABILITY

Is the ELITE-20GM Right for Your Kitchen?

The ELITE-20GM can suit kitchens where integrated drinking-water filtration, stainless steel construction and a gunmetal finish are preferred.

Kitchen Renovations

The gunmetal finish can be coordinated with other dark or metallic kitchen fixtures during a renovation.

Existing Mixer Replacement

The current mixer opening can be assessed against Puretec's 35mm tap-hole requirement and the existing plumbing beneath the sink.

New Filtration System

The Elite 20 can be installed with a compatible under-sink filtration system such as Puretec's Z1 platform.

Under-sink space still matters. Filter housings, valves, tubing and future cartridge replacement all require practical service access.

STONE BENCHTOPS

A 3-Way Mixer Can Avoid a Separate Filter-Tap Hole

JR's current installation pathway does not allow drilling a new separate filter-tap hole into engineered or natural stone because of silica-dust and benchtop-damage risks.

Where the existing main mixer position is suitable, the ELITE-20GM can provide normal hot, normal cold and filtered water through that one fixture position.

The existing opening still needs to suit the mixer. Puretec specifies a 35mm diameter tap hole for the ELITE-20GM.

FLOW & WATER EFFICIENCY

ELITE-20GM WELS Rating

Puretec currently specifies the Tripla Elite 20 at 8 litres per minute with a WELS 3 Star rating.

Current manufacturer specification: ELITE-20GM-LF — 8L/min, WELS 3 Star.

This is model-specific. Flow and WELS ratings from other Tripla mixers should not automatically be applied to the Elite 20.

PURETEC Z1 COMPATIBILITY

ELITE-20GM With Puretec Z1 Filtration

Puretec currently offers the Z1-E20-GM-LF, combining the gunmetal Elite 20 with its Ultra Z under-sink mains-water filtration system.

0.1 Micron Filtration

The current Z1-E20-GM package uses Puretec's Ultra Z filtration technology with a nominal 0.1 micron rating.

30,000L Capacity

Puretec currently lists up to 30,000 litres filtration capacity under its stated operating conditions.

Separate Filtered Supply

Treated drinking water feeds the dedicated Elite 20 filtered line while ordinary hot and cold mixer water bypass the filter.

The 0.1 micron rating and 30,000L capacity belong to the Z1 filtration system rather than the ELITE-20GM mixer itself.

WATER PRESSURE

Puretec ELITE-20GM Pressure Requirements

Puretec currently specifies a standalone tap pressure range of 50–500kPa.

Minimum 50kPa

The standalone mixer specification begins at 50kPa.

Maximum 500kPa

The mixer should not be operated above Puretec's stated 500kPa working-pressure limit.

Equal Pressure Required

Puretec specifically states that the ELITE-20GM is not suitable for unequal-pressure installations.

High pressure needs to be controlled. Puretec states that an appropriate pressure limiting valve must be installed where supply pressure exceeds the recommended working pressure or warranty coverage may be affected.

TAP VS FILTER PACKAGE

Why the Z1-E20-GM Has a Different Pressure Specification

Puretec's standalone mixer and its complete Z1 filtration package publish different operating ranges.

ELITE-20GM Tap

50–500kPa under the current standalone mixer specification.

Z1-E20-GM System

200–520kPa is published for the complete Z1 filtration kit.

Installed Combination

The complete installation should satisfy the applicable limits of every component, including the mixer's 500kPa maximum.

Component specifications are not interchangeable. The filter can introduce its own minimum flow and pressure requirements even though the mixer can physically operate at lower pressure.
