Where a customer has a stone benchtop, it cannot be drilled for the installation of a separate filter tap. Drilling into engineered or natural stone surfaces can release fine crystalline silica dust, which poses a significant health risk (silicosis) to installers and anyone nearby, and may also cause cracking or damage to the bench. In these cases, we can provide the option of a 3-way mixer tap that combines hot, cold, and filtered water in one unit, or, if preferred, the filter can be connected to the existing kitchen mixer to filter all cold water — however, this is not recommended as it will also filter dishwashing and cooking water, leading to faster filter clogging and more frequent replacements. A wider selection of suitable 3-way mixer taps can be viewed here: https://www.jrgasandwater.com.au/collections/3-way-kitchen-mixer-tap-hot-cold-filtered.

PREMIUM BRIGHT CHROME 3-WAY MIXER

Puretec ELITE-20CH Installation Brisbane & Gold Coast

JR Gas & Water supplies and installs the Puretec Tripla ELITE-20CH across eligible Brisbane, Gold Coast and surrounding South East Queensland service areas for kitchens wanting normal hot and cold water plus separately filtered drinking water from one premium chrome mixer.

The ELITE-20CH is a 3-in-1 kitchen mixer built from 100% stainless steel with a polished bright chrome finish and PVD outer coating. The larger control operates normal hot and cold water, while the smaller handle controls the dedicated filtered-water pathway.

Puretec uses two dedicated outlets and separate inner tubes so filtered and unfiltered water remain separate inside the mixer.

Puretec ELITE-20CH at a glance: current model ELITE-20CH-LF, bright chrome 3-way mixer, 100% stainless steel construction, PVD outer coating, separate filtered and unfiltered waterways, 8L/min WELS 3 Star flow, 35mm tap hole, ½" and ¼" braided connections, 50–500kPa standalone tap pressure range, 35mm ceramic cartridge and 15-year residential tapware warranty structure.

IMPORTANT DISTINCTION

The ELITE-20CH Is the Mixer — The Filter Treats the Water

The ELITE-20CH provides the dedicated filtered-water pathway, but the mixer itself does not filter the water.

The filtration system connected beneath the sink determines the actual treatment performance, contaminant reduction, cartridge capacity and maintenance requirements.

ELITE-20CH Mixer

Provides normal hot and cold water plus a separate pathway for filtered mains water or appropriately treated water.

Under-Sink Filter

Performs the actual water treatment before drinking water reaches the mixer's dedicated filtered-water inlet.

One Kitchen Fixture

Allows normal mixer water and dedicated filtered drinking water to be accessed without adding a separate visible filter tap.

Select the filtration system for the treatment required and the ELITE-20CH for the kitchen functionality, construction and finish you prefer.

SEPARATE INTERNAL WATERWAYS

How Does the Puretec ELITE-20CH Work?

Main Mixer Control

The larger handle controls the home's normal hot and cold water supplies for washing, rinsing and everyday kitchen use.

Filtered-Water Control

The smaller control independently operates the water supplied through the compatible under-sink filtration system.

Two Dedicated Outlets

Separate inner tubes and outlets keep filtered and unfiltered water apart inside the mixer.

Normal kitchen water does not need to consume the drinking-water filter cartridge. Ordinary hot and cold water bypass the dedicated filtered-water pathway.

TRIPLA ELITE CONSTRUCTION

100% Stainless Steel With a Bright Chrome Finish

The Elite range adds a different construction and warranty proposition from Puretec's standard Tripla T-series mixers.

100% Stainless Steel

Puretec specifies full stainless steel construction for the Tripla Elite mixer body.

PVD Outer Coating

Puretec uses Physical Vapour Deposition coating within the Elite range to improve resistance to abrasion, scratching and corrosion.

Bright Chrome

The polished chrome appearance provides a versatile finish suited to stainless sinks, chrome appliances and a wide variety of kitchen styles.

Durable does not mean damage-proof. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive pads and inappropriate cleaning products when maintaining the finish.

WHY USE A 3-WAY MIXER?

Hot, Cold & Filtered Water From One Fixture

Normal hot water remains available through the standard mixer function.
Normal cold water remains separate from the drinking-water filtration pathway.
Dedicated filtered water is selected independently using the smaller control.
One principal kitchen mixer can avoid the need for a separate filter tap in suitable installations.
8L/min WELS 3 Star flow under the current Puretec Elite 20 specification.
35mm ceramic cartridge under the current manufacturer specification.

KITCHEN SUITABILITY

Is the ELITE-20CH Right for Your Kitchen?

The ELITE-20CH can suit kitchens where the customer wants integrated filtered drinking water together with a polished chrome mixer and full stainless steel construction.

Kitchen Renovations

The bright chrome finish can integrate easily with stainless steel sinks, chrome fixtures and a broad range of appliance finishes.

Existing Mixer Replacement

The existing mixer position can be assessed against Puretec's 35mm tap-hole requirement and the plumbing arrangement beneath the sink.

New Filtration Setup

The ELITE-20CH can be installed with a compatible under-sink filter such as Puretec's Z1 platform.

Under-sink space still matters. Filter housings, tubing, valves and future cartridge servicing all require adequate access.

STONE BENCHTOPS

A 3-Way Mixer Can Avoid a Separate Filter-Tap Hole

JR's current installation guidance states that a new separate filter-tap hole is not drilled through engineered or natural stone because of silica-dust and benchtop-damage risks.

Where the main mixer opening is suitable, a 3-way mixer such as the ELITE-20CH can provide normal hot, normal cold and dedicated filtered water from that single fixture position.

The existing opening still needs to suit the new mixer. Puretec specifies a 35mm diameter tap hole for the ELITE-20CH.

FLOW & WATER EFFICIENCY

ELITE-20CH WELS Rating

Puretec currently specifies the Tripla Elite 20 at 8 litres per minute with a WELS 3 Star rating.

Current manufacturer specification: ELITE-20CH-LF — 8L/min, WELS 3 Star.

This rating is specific to the Elite 20. Specifications from other Tripla mixers should not automatically be carried across.

PURETEC Z1 COMPATIBILITY

ELITE-20CH With Puretec Z1 Filtration

Puretec currently offers the Z1-E20-CH-LF, combining the chrome Elite 20 mixer with its Ultra Z under-sink mains-water filtration system.

0.1 Micron Filtration

The current Z1-E20-CH package uses Puretec Ultra Z filtration technology with a nominal 0.1 micron rating.

30,000L Capacity

Puretec currently lists filter capacity of up to 30,000 litres under its stated operating conditions.

Separate Filtered Supply

Treated drinking water feeds the dedicated Elite 20 filtered line while normal hot and cold mixer water bypass the cartridge.

The 0.1 micron rating and 30,000L capacity belong to the Z1 filtration system, not to the ELITE-20CH mixer itself.

WATER PRESSURE

Puretec ELITE-20CH Pressure Requirements

Puretec's current standalone ELITE-20CH specification lists a working pressure range of 50–500kPa.

Minimum 50kPa

The standalone mixer specification starts at 50kPa.

Maximum 500kPa

The mixer should remain at or below Puretec's stated 500kPa maximum working pressure.

Equal Pressure Required

Puretec specifically states that the ELITE-20CH is not suitable for unequal-pressure installations.

Pressure above the recommended working range requires appropriate pressure control. Puretec states that pressure limiting valves must be installed where required or warranty coverage may be affected.

TAP VS FILTER PACKAGE

ELITE-20CH & Z1-E20-CH Pressure Specifications

The standalone mixer and complete filtration package publish different pressure ranges.

Standalone ELITE-20CH

Puretec currently specifies 50–500kPa for the mixer itself.

Complete Z1-E20-CH

Puretec currently publishes 200–520kPa for the complete Z1 filter-and-tap package.

Installed Combination

The final installation should satisfy the applicable limits of each component, including the mixer's stated 500kPa maximum.

Component specifications are not interchangeable. The filtration system introduces its own pressure and flow requirements even though the standalone mixer can physically operate at a lower inlet pressure.
