Rinnai Enviroflo GR Series 300L Heat Pump Installation in Brisbane & Gold Coast
The Rinnai Enviroflo GR Series 300L Heat Pump is an integrated heat pump hot water system designed for homes wanting strong everyday hot water capacity with better energy efficiency than a standard electric storage tank. It is a strong option for buyers comparing Rinnai Enviroflo GR Series 300L Heat Pump installed pricing, Rinnai Enviroflo GR Series 300L Heat Pump supply and install, or hot water replacement in Brisbane. Like any heat pump hot water system, the right outcome depends on both the product and the installation, including available space, airflow, drainage, electrical setup, plumbing layout, and the household’s actual hot water usage.
What Is the Rinnai Enviroflo GR Series 300L Heat Pump?
The Rinnai Enviroflo GR Series 300L Heat Pump is an electric integrated heat pump hot water system that uses heat from the surrounding air to heat stored water more efficiently than a conventional electric storage hot water system. It is a 300 litre all-in-one unit with built-in Wi-Fi control, a single element boost included as standard, and multiple operating modes designed to help balance efficiency and hot water availability.
This model is part of the Enviroflo GR Series, which is designed for Australian conditions and uses R290 refrigerant. It is also Solar PV compatible, which can make it a practical option for homes wanting to improve daytime energy use where solar is already installed or planned. As the largest-capacity unit in the GR range, it is aimed at homes needing more stored hot water than smaller 180L, 215L, 265L or 280L models.
Why Choose the Rinnai Enviroflo GR Series 300L Heat Pump?
One of the main reasons people choose the Rinnai Enviroflo GR Series 300L Heat Pump is because it offers high storage capacity with the efficiency benefits of heat pump technology. A 300 litre heat pump hot water system can suit homes that need more hot water than a mid-sized unit can comfortably deliver, while still offering lower running costs than a conventional electric storage system in the right conditions.
This model also suits buyers wanting modern heat pump features rather than just a basic replacement tank. It includes built-in Wi-Fi for app control, multiple operating modes including Standard, ECO, Hybrid, Electric and Vacation, quiet operation, anti-frost protection, and auto restart after power interruptions. The 300L version also comes with a 10 Amp plug, which can simplify installation in suitable situations. It is designed for mains pressure operation and for water pressures up to 1000kPa, which also makes it practical for a wide range of residential sites.
Is the Rinnai Enviroflo GR Series 300L Heat Pump Right for Your Home?
The Rinnai Enviroflo GR Series 300L Heat Pump is generally best suited to homes wanting an efficient replacement for an electric storage hot water system where a larger tank is the right match for household demand. It can be a practical choice for medium to larger households, and can suit homes with higher daily usage where a smaller heat pump may be undersized. A 300 litre storage capacity gives more buffer for bigger families and heavier usage patterns than smaller integrated units.
As with any heat pump hot water system, suitability depends heavily on the installation environment. This unit needs appropriate outdoor placement, good airflow, practical service clearance, and drainage for condensate and relief discharge. Ambient conditions matter too, because heat pump performance depends on the surrounding air temperature, even though the built-in boost element helps maintain reliable hot water when needed. This series is designed to operate in ambient air conditions from -7°C to 45°C, which helps make it suitable for a wide range of Australian conditions.
Final installation scope depends on what is already at the property. Some jobs are straightforward replacements, while others may require extra works. Depending on the site, that may include pressure limiting, valve upgrades, new pipework connections, drainage improvements, electrical adjustments, base preparation, or relocation of the unit to a more suitable position.
Why Choose a Quality Hot Water System Instead of a Cheaper Alternative?
A cheaper hot water system is not always the cheaper result once installation, running costs, reliability, and long-term suitability are taken into account. With heat pumps especially, there is a major difference between choosing a lower upfront price and choosing a system that actually suits the home’s demand, layout, and operating conditions.
The Rinnai Enviroflo GR Series 300L Heat Pump is designed as a purpose-built integrated heat pump hot water system, not just a budget tank swap. Features like built-in Wi-Fi, solar PV compatibility, a standard element boost, multiple operating modes, anti-frost protection, off-peak operation capability, 10 Amp plug connection on this model, and R290 refrigerant all help make it a stronger long-term option than a cheaper alternative chosen purely on price.
The other key factor is installation. Even a quality heat pump can underperform if the location is wrong, the drainage is poor, the airflow is restricted, or the plumbing and pressure conditions are not properly addressed. That is why JR Gas & Water focuses on the right product and the right installation together.
Professional Rinnai Enviroflo GR Series 300L Heat Pump Installation in Brisbane & Gold Coast
JR Gas & Water provides professional Rinnai Enviroflo GR Series 300L Heat Pump installation in Brisbane & Gold Coast, with the installation assessed around the home’s existing hot water system, available outdoor space, plumbing layout, electrical setup, drainage requirements, and intended household use. Whether you need hot water replacement in Brisbane or hot water installation on the Gold Coast, the aim is to make sure the system fits the property properly rather than just swapping one unit for another.
We also service surrounding areas including Logan, Ipswich, Moreton Bay and Redlands. Our approach is practical and installation-led. That means checking whether the home is currently set up for an electric storage replacement, whether the location suits a heat pump, whether mains pressure control needs to be addressed, and what may need to change to complete the installation safely and compliantly.
What’s Involved in Installing the Rinnai Enviroflo GR Series 300L Heat Pump?
Installing the Rinnai Enviroflo GR Series 300L Heat Pump involves more than replacing one tank with another. Because it is a heat pump hot water system, the installation needs to account for airflow around the unit, drainage for condensate and temperature relief discharge, electrical connection requirements, and how the new system will integrate with the existing water services.
In a standard replacement scenario, the work may include removing the old hot water system, positioning the new heat pump, connecting hot and cold water pipework, checking or replacing valves where required, confirming pressure control requirements, connecting power, commissioning the system, and testing operation. Depending on the site, that may also include adjustments to the base, pipework rerouting, improved drainage, or relocation to a better outdoor position.
JR Gas & Water keeps the process practical and clear so customers understand what is standard, what may vary, and what may be needed for a safe and compliant installation. The final installation scope depends on what is already at the property, because some homes are already well set up for a straightforward replacement while others need extra work to get the right result.
Why Choose JR Gas & Water?
JR Gas & Water is installation-led, which matters when you are buying a heat pump hot water system rather than just a product on paper. The real outcome depends on how well the system suits the home, the location, the plumbing arrangement, the power supply, and the way the household actually uses hot water.
We work with real homes across Brisbane and the Gold Coast, helping customers choose the right setup for their property rather than relying on generic brochure claims. With a model like the Rinnai Enviroflo GR Series 300L Heat Pump, that means practical advice, realistic installation assessment, and a clearer process from product selection through to installation.
Rinnai Enviroflo GR Series 300L Heat Pump Installation FAQs
How much does Rinnai Enviroflo GR Series 300L Heat Pump installation cost in Brisbane or the Gold Coast?
Installation cost depends on what is already at the property. A straightforward electric storage replacement in a suitable outdoor location is usually simpler than a job requiring relocation, drainage upgrades, electrical changes, or valve and pressure control work. Final pricing depends on the site, access, and what is required for a safe and compliant installation.
Is the Rinnai Enviroflo GR Series 300L Heat Pump right for my home?
It can be a strong option for homes replacing an electric storage hot water system and wanting a more energy-efficient solution with larger 300 litre storage capacity. The main questions are whether the tank size suits your usage, whether the location has suitable airflow and drainage, and whether the property is set up properly for a heat pump installation.
What is included in a standard Rinnai Enviroflo GR Series 300L Heat Pump installation?
A standard installation typically includes the core labour and materials needed to install the new system in a suitable location and connect it to existing services where conditions allow. That may include removal of the old unit, plumbing connections, valve assessment, electrical connection, commissioning, and operational checks. Extra works may still be required depending on the site.
Can the Rinnai Enviroflo GR Series 300L Heat Pump replace my current system?
In many cases, yes. It is especially well suited as a replacement for an existing electric storage hot water system where better efficiency and larger storage are the goal. Whether it is the right replacement depends on household demand, available outdoor space, drainage, access, electrical arrangement, and whether the current location is suitable for a heat pump hot water system.
Can JR Gas & Water install the Rinnai Enviroflo GR Series 300L Heat Pump in my area?
JR Gas & Water installs the Rinnai Enviroflo GR Series 300L Heat Pump across Brisbane and the Gold Coast, and also services Logan, Ipswich, Moreton Bay and Redlands. Availability depends on the job type, timing, and site conditions, but we regularly handle heat pump hot water installation across these areas.

How Do STC Rebates Work?
Small-scale Technology Certificates, or STCs, are part of the Australian Government’s renewable energy scheme. Eligible heat pump and solar hot water systems can generate STCs, which carry a monetary value. JR Gas & Water applies this value as an upfront rebate so customers see a reduced out-of-pocket price on eligible products rather than needing to claim anything later themselves.
For clarity, JR Gas & Water uses a flat-rate STC rebate of $1,000 including GST on eligible systems. This means the price shown online is the customer’s out-of-pocket price after the rebate has already been applied. It is not the full gross system price before the rebate.
As an example, if a system is advertised online at $4,000, the gross system price is $5,000, less the $1,000 STC rebate, leaving the advertised out-of-pocket amount of $4,000.
This upfront rebate is offered on the basis that the installation will be completed compliantly, the system will remain eligible for STCs, and JR Gas & Water will be able to create, process, and receive the value of those certificates after installation. We handle the STC paperwork and process behind the scenes, but the rebate is conditional and relies on the job proceeding correctly from start to finish.
Who Is Eligible?
In general, customers may be eligible for the STC rebate where they are purchasing an approved solar hot water system, heat pump hot water system, or other eligible product that qualifies under the applicable scheme rules at the time of installation.
Eligibility generally requires that:
the product itself is STC eligible,
the installation address is eligible,
the system is installed in Australia,
the installation is completed in a compliant manner,
the system is capable of being properly verified,
and the customer provides any required information, declarations, signatures, and supporting documents needed to process the STCs.
Where JR Gas & Water advertises an eligible system with the rebate already applied, the customer is agreeing that the STCs will be assigned to JR Gas & Water or its nominated agent as part of the sale. That assignment is what allows the rebate to be applied upfront instead of the customer paying full price.
When Is the Rebate Not Available or Not Valid?
The STC rebate is not an automatic discount in every situation. It is only available where the installation proceeds fully and remains eligible for STC creation and assignment.
A customer may not be eligible, or may be required to repay the rebate amount, where:
the order is cancelled after rebate pricing has been applied,
the customer declines installation,
the site is not ready,
access is refused,
the installation cannot proceed due to hazards, animals, obstructions, or unsafe conditions,
the customer wants to keep the STCs personally,
required paperwork is not signed or returned,
incorrect or incomplete information is provided,
the property or system turns out not to qualify,
the quoted eligible product is changed,
a third party interferes with, alters, completes, disconnects, reconnects, or modifies the installation,
required compliance or upgrade works are refused,
or the installation cannot be lawfully completed in a way that allows the STCs to be validly claimed.
This also includes situations where another contractor performs part of the work in a way that affects eligibility, or where changes made by the customer or another trade prevent JR Gas & Water from receiving the STC benefit that the upfront rebate was based on.
What Happens If the Customer Does Not Proceed?
Where a customer accepts pricing that already includes the STC rebate and then cancels, postpones, declines installation, refuses access, or otherwise prevents the installation from being completed, JR Gas & Water may recover the full $1,000 STC rebate amount in addition to any other applicable cancellation, postponement, restocking, freight, attendance, or administrative charges.
This is because the lower advertised price was offered on the basis that JR Gas & Water would receive the benefit of the STCs after compliant completion of the installation. If the job does not proceed, that STC benefit cannot be recovered by JR Gas & Water, so the rebate amount becomes payable.
Can the Customer Keep the STCs Instead?
Yes, but not at the rebate-adjusted price.
If the customer wishes to keep, trade, or claim the STCs themselves, they must notify JR Gas & Water in writing before the order is accepted, or at the latest before installation begins. In that case, the customer must pay the full $1,000 including GST rebate amount before installation unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Estimated annual savings are calculated by comparing the heat pump’s energy efficiency (measured as COP – Coefficient of Performance) against a standard electric hot water system with a COP of 1.0. For example, if a heat pump has a COP of 4.0, it uses 75% less electricity to deliver the same amount of hot water.
Savings are based on average household usage for a family of five on Tariff 11 (general usage tariff), using manufacturer-stated COP values. The higher the COP, the greater the energy savings.
Bonus savings: When paired with a solar PV system, energy costs can drop even further — with some households seeing up to 50% additional savings, especially when the heat pump runs during solar generation times.
Disclaimer:
All estimated savings are based on manufacturer-provided COP values and standard usage assumptions (e.g. a family of five on Tariff 11). These figures are intended as a general guide to help compare different hot water units and technologies. Actual savings may vary depending on your household’s usage, energy rates, and installation conditions. We recommend conducting your own research or consulting an energy advisor to assess what’s best for your specific setup.
