What Is a Link Toilet Suite?

A link suite separates the toilet pan and cistern using a connector or flush pipe.

Unlike a close coupled toilet, the cistern does not have to sit directly on top of the pan.

This allows greater flexibility in positioning the cistern relative to the pan and existing plumbing.

Link suites are particularly useful in older homes where waste and water points may not line up conveniently with newer fixed-position toilets.

The Stylus Tasman is available in both common residential toilet configurations.

S-Trap

An S-trap toilet connects into a waste pipe through the floor.

P-Trap

A P-trap toilet connects horizontally into a waste pipe through the wall.

The P-trap Tasman version has a nominal 185 mm set-out.

The correct toilet configuration must be selected to suit the existing plumbing.

Existing Waste and Water Points Must Remain in Their Current Locations

The standard package is for replacement using the existing waste and water connection locations.

The advertised price does not include relocating either connection.

Although a link suite provides greater flexibility than many other toilet designs, the existing plumbing must still be suitable for the selected Tasman configuration.

Existing Floor Condition

The replacement toilet may have a different footprint from the toilet being removed.

Once the existing toilet is removed, previously concealed areas may contain:

• Old fixing holes

• Silicone marks

• Unfinished flooring

• Missing tiles

• Different coloured flooring

• Staining

• Floor damage

• Uneven surfaces

Cosmetic repair or reinstatement of these areas is not included in the standard toilet replacement price.
